Once a month a group of students get together for jazz instruction with David Friesen. Unlike private lessons, this is a chance to learn how to play with a group. How to listen...how to lead...how to accompany.

All levels of experience are welcome - you should be able to play your instrument competently, and have a grasp of a 12-bar blues. To prepare, practice the songs listed below. Learn the form, be familiar with the changes, listen to the performances.

On the day of the ensemble training, show up - and relax! You might be nervous, but it really is a lot of fun!
